Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has said that reforms are being introduced in the police department so that no one could interfere in the police duty.
The chief minister said this while presiding over a high-level meeting at his office here on Tuesday. During the meeting proposals regarding the establishment of police reforms commission were reviewed in detail.
The meeting was briefed about the establishment of police reforms commission in the province.
Addressing the meeting, Sardar Usman Buzdar said that police will be made totally neutral and a public service institution which would come up to the expectations of the general public.
He said that police is responsible to redress the grievances of the people and serving the complainants is the fundamental responsibility of the police.
Buzdar directed that matters pertaining to establishment of police reforms commission should be settled and recommendations should be given final shape at the earliest.Home) and others.
