One of the key difference between a developing country and a developed country is the power management. Electricity has become a basic need, and its unhindered, continuous and smooth supply is a necessity. But in countries like Pakistan, its still a luxury. Power outages affect people from all walks of life but especially affect the students schedule. Mostly people cant afford UPS and generators. It is pretty difficult for students to study during exams in candlelight or rechargeable light owing to the scarce light of these sources. -SHARQA SALIM, Karachi, via e-mail, April 3.
