LAHORE - An 18-years old boy was allegedly shot dead while his younger brother was injured by their step father over a property dispute in Hanjarwal police limits on Saturday. The deceased Riaz Ahmad and his brother Mushtaq Ahmad had a dispute with their stepfather Khalil Ahmad over the ownership of property including the house where they were residing. Police said that resident of Bara Street, Khalil Ahmad, had contracted second marriage with the wife of his elder brother Jalil Ahmad after his death. Jalil is survived by two sons Riaz and Mushtaq. The boys were not enjoying good relations with their stepfather since he had married their mother. They had also exchanged hot words with him over the property issue. According to the police the clash developed between both the brothers and their stepfather when the latter tried to equally distribute all the property among his children. On the day of incident, Khalil got infuriated when his stepsons demanded share from the property. He later opened fire on them injuring both the brothers critically and fled from the scene. Riaz and Mushtaq were immediately rushed to a local hospital where the former succumbed to his injuries while condition of the other was stated to be critical. Police has registered a case against the alleged killer on the complaint of injured youth Mushtaq with no arrest so far. ACCIDENT A 2-year-old minor died while his mother and father were injured when their motorcycle bumped into a footpath in Township area on Saturday. Police said that Awais Ahmad of Fazal Colony was going on a motorcycle along with his wife Surraya Bibi who was carrying his baby Abuzar in her arms. When they reached near Hamdard Chowk, suddenly the motorcycle fell in a small ditch and later bumped into a footpath. As Awais lost his control over the bike, the minor fell down on the road and sustained critical head injuries. Locals rushed to the spot and shifted the minor and his parents to the Jinnah Hospital but Abuzer died on the way. The news of 2-years-old son fell like a bombshell on the injured parents. Surraya Bibi fell unconscious on hearing the news of her minors death. LOOTED Robbers looted valuables worth Rs 350,000 from Edveena Inderyas, sister of Ayra Inderyas, member of the Women Action Forum and women desk secretary of Church of Pakistan, near their house in Guwalmandi police limits on Saturday. Reportedly, Ayra told the police that she and her father Inderyas Patras went to the airport to receive her sister Edveena at 3pm. She said they took her in their car and left for home from the airport. She said as they reached near their house at Mission Road, two robbers appeared on a car, intercepted them and held them up at gunpoint asking them to handover their valuables. She told the police that fearing the death they gave them each and every thing including mobile sets, two bags and one laptop. She said, however, one of the dacoits made a phone call to her friend from her mobile phone and told that they could take their looted documents from under a dustbin at Sarwar Road. Ayra said she informed the police, which later collected the documents from the same place. She claimed that Gawalmandi police later registered a case against unidentified 'thieves under theft charges only.
