LAHORE - SSP Investigation, Lahore Police, Zulfiqar Hameed has awarded punishments to 14 police officers and officials on the charges of corruption, faulty investigation, misuse of power and negligence which included: reduction in rank, forfeiture in service, withholding of promotion, reduction in pay, withholding of increment, censure and fine. SSP Investigation awarded punishments of compulsory retirement to SI Mohammad Aslam, reduction in rank to Liaqat Ali from SI to ASI for the period of two years, forfeiture of two years approved service to SI Munawar Hussain, forfeiture of two years service to SI Mohammad Aslam, withholding of promotion for one year to SI Muhammad Ansar, Rs1000 fine to SI Liaqat Ali, withholding of two annual increment to SI Muhammad Aslam, reduction in rank to Muhammad Yousaf from ASI to head clerk for one year, censure to SI Imran Khan and Nazir Ahmed, censure to ASI Munir Ahmed, warning to ASI Aman Ullah and Ehsan-ul-Haq. Debated contest The Nazria Pakistan Trust (NPT) in collaboration with Pakistan Workers Trust will organise a special debate competition among students of colleges and universities at Madar-e-Millat Park on Monday (today) at 10:30 am. The competition is continuity of 72nd death anniversary of Dr Allama Mohammad Iqbal. The topic of debate has been taken from the poetry of Iqbal. Renowned religious scholar Allama Ahmed Ali Qasoori will preside over the session and will deliver a lecture on spiritual message in Iqbals poetry.
