LAHORE - Public health delivery system is near paralysing as the hepatitis patients are approaching 115 million in Pakistan and diabetes rate have reached 15 percent, while the incidence of hypertension & depression was on the rise but unfortunately rulers are unaware and apathetic about the aggravating situation. This was stated by central joint secretary Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) Dr Haq Nawaz Bharwana on Sunday. Dr Bharwana demanded that health budget should be enhanced to 10 per cent of GDP. He observed the brain drain of doctors have reached to alarming proportion and currently 14,00 consultant are leaving the country which will result into desertion of public hospitals.
