MoU inked

LAHORE - Pakistan Agriculture Scientists Association (PASA) President Jamshed Iqbal Cheema has asked the government to keep its promise of procuring wheat crop from the farmers. He said if the farmers were not paid Rs 950 per maund wheat, it would prove to be an enmity of the government with the farmers. He was talking to media men after the ceremony wherein an MoU was inked between the Association and Comsat University Islamabad here on Sunday. Jamshed further said that middlemen had started purchasing wheat from the farmers at the rate of Rs 800 per maund, which was injustice to the poor farmers. The MoU was signed by Jamshed Iqbal Cheema and Comsat's Prof Dr Fouzia Yousaf.
