CHAKRI (NNI) - Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Chaudhry Nisar Ali on Sunday said former president Gen (r) Pervez Musharraf had asked him to change loyalties and offered the premiership several times but he did not make compromise in the best interest of his party and the country. Former president Pervez Musharraf had offered me several times to become the prime minister as a reward for changing loyalties, but I never compromised on the principles and preferred to remain behind the bars instead of getting any favour from the dictator, Nisar said while addressing a meeting at the residence of Malik Zubair Hussain at Chak Danyal, which was arranged in connection with the announcement of former nazim Malik Niaz Hussains decision to join the PML-N. Nisar said he remained loyal to party chief Nawaz Sharif; therefore, Allah Almighty graced him with huge respect. He said he always stood by Nawaz in the difficult times with courage and every voter of his constituency knew about his clean politics, adding, Politics is the name of principles and vision. The PML-N leader also maintained that a record number of developmental works were completed in his constituency. He told the gathering not to elect those who changed their loyalties for their personal interests instead of the masses.
