LAHORE - Former Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) secretary Kanwar Dilshad has said that the caretaker government is not implementing the Election Commission orders in letter and spirit.  Talking to journalists during the inaugural session of Media Advocacy Center (MAC) at Royal Palm and Country Club on Thursday, Dilshad criticised the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) deputy governor who was still working on his post despite his transfer orders while the central bank had also refused to upload the asset details of politicians who were contesting the elections.

He said the caretaker set-up had been constituted by Election Commission and they should strictly follow the ECP directives for holding free and fair polls. “The caretaker government has not yet transferred the bureaucracy in Sindh province. He said returning officers had wasted their time during scrutiny of nomination papers and they had failed to fulfill their duties as they allowed the bank defaulters to contest the forthcoming election.
