LAHORE – The clerics of different religious organisations Thursday condemned the announcement of desecration by a Floridian Pastor Terry Jones.
In a statement issued here by Tehrik-e-Hurmat-e-Rasool (THR), the clerics said Muslims could not bear desecration.
They demanded legislation on international level to end blasphemy. They asked if the UN would not legislate, the Muslim countries should establish their own Muslim United Nations. THR convener Maulana Ameer Hamza, Ibtisam Elahi Zaheer, Hafiz Muhammad Akif, Qari Zawar Bahadur and others said desecration by Terry Jones could fan hatred.
