Interior Minister assures free, fair, transparent elections

The caretaker Interior Minister Malik Muhammad Habib Khan has said that the government is making every possible effort to ensure free‚ fair and transparent elections.
Talking to media after visiting NADRA headquarters in Islamabad Friday‚ the minister said that NADRA is also playing an important role in making the electoral process transparent.
He said that e-voting system has been set up in ten embassies. He added that votes could be cast through e-voting after the approval of the Election Commission.
Earlier‚ the minister was given a detailed briefing on the performance of NADRA.
Meanwhile‚ Interior Minister Malik Habib has paid a surprise visit to the office of DG Passport. He said caretaker setup is making efforts to make the elections transparent and NADRA has been playing a very vital role making the elections free‚ fair and transparent.
He said that E-voting system has been introduced in 10 embassies of Pakistan in different countries and voters can cast their votes through the E-voting system after the approval of the Election Commission.
