LONDON – Nawa-i-Waqt Report - Acknowledging his meritorious services in the field of journalism, the global body of journalists, International Press Institute (IPI) Vienna, has awarded lifetime membership to senior journalist, columnist and Daily Nawa-i-Waqt’s correspondent in Britain, Khalid H Lodhi.

Khalid H Lodhi has been associated with IPI as a member since April 16, 1999. In an IPI report, the global body of journalists has said Lodhi was the first journalist in 1994 who unearthed corruption being made at government level.

He also indicated the political drug mafia about which he wrote columns  and news stories. Acknowledging his meritorious services in journalism, the IPI has made his investigative reports as part of its record. Lodhi has also been working as researcher and consultant for Pakistan affairs for British newspapers Observer, Sunday Times, Mail Online Sunday and Daily Telegraph.

He is the first Pakistani journalist who has been awarded lifetime membership of the IPI.
