PESHAWAR - The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) KPK Women Wing office-bearers have threatened to resign from their offices in protest against giving priority on women reserved seats to blue-eyed while ignoring the deserving workers.

Sources said that awarding tickets to allegedly undeserving blue-eyed people on women reserved seats had created unrest among the women office-bearers  and besides resignation, they have also opened an option to boycott coming polls.

Sources said that a day earlier, KPK women wing had decided to address a press conference in this regard, however, senior party leadership intervened and asked them to postpone it for some time and after getting assurance that the matter would be resolved.

However, they made it clear to the provincial leadership that if their demand was not met of awarding party tickets to deserving women aspirants for contesting elections on women reserved seats. Then, they would be free in taking any extreme steps.

They alleged that undeserving women candidates have been included in the priority lists, which they termed an injustice and said that it would not be tolerated and they would protest against this until meeting their demands.
