TOBA TEK SINGH - The Lahore High Court Multan bench allowed PTI candidate from NA 93 (Toba) Ch Muhammad Ashfaq to contest elections.

The court set aside the decision of Returning officer Ziaul Qamar who had rejected Ch Ashfaq nomination papers during scrutiny when two local lawyers Rao Munawar Hayat and Kamran Zafar filed objections against him. The lawyers claimed that the PTI candidate was a defaulter of Social Security, Excise and Taxation and Askari Bank. Counsel for Ch M Ashfaq produced proof in the court that he was not a defaulter over which the LHC Multan bench restored his nomination papers and allowed him to contest the elections.
