SUKKUR  – A District and Sessions Judge on Thursday ordered police to register a case against former Sindh chief minister Qaim Ali Shah, his daughter and others on behalf of a lawyer who was brutally tortured on Wednesday.

Khairpur District Bar President Manzoor Hussain Ansari was beaten up by some lawyers apparently due to his objection over Qaim Ali Shah's nomination papers.

Ansari moved an application in a local court for registration of a case against over a dozen people including Qaim Ali Shah and his daughter Nafeesa Shah.
