LAHORE – Golden Star Cricket Club beat Albilal Cricket Club by seven wickets and moved to the second round of the 11th M Siddiq Memorial Cricket Tournament here at the Albilal ground, Township. Fifties scored by Talha and M Ashfaq of Albilal CC and M Ameer and M Asif of Golden Star CC were highlight of the day. Bating first, Albilal CC scored 204-5 in 20 overs. Talha was top scorer with 82 while M Ashfaq added 62 and Haroon 27. For Golden Star CC, Hafiz Shahbaz Ali clinched 2-20. In reply, Golden Star CC, achieved the required target for the loss of three wickets in 18.3 overs. M Ameer slammed unbeaten 61 and M Asif unbeaten 52 while Zulfqar Ali added 32, Nadeem Khan 30 and Wasif Zaman 19. For Albilal CC, M Sajid took 2-45.
