KARACHI :  The Pakistani rupee maintained its upward momentum in the interbank on Friday, making fresh gains against the US dollar. Foreign exchange dealers said that the rupee gained 50 paisas against the greenback in early Friday morning trade in the interbank, and was being traded at Rs. 96.50. Market dealers said that the fresh gains owed much to positive response to country’s Eurobonds, subscribed three times over, as well as World Bank’s assurance to provide $10 billion to Pakistan for development projects in the next five years.
