Rawalpindi - The 66th annual ‘Flower & Vegetable Show’ was held on Saturday here at Morgah Club.
Shoaib A Malik, Group Regional Chief Executive, Attock Oil Group of Companies was the chief guest on the occasion. Shuaib, while addressing the participants of the show appreciated the flower exhibits and the beautiful gardens and said that beautiful flowers and children are like hope and life.
He appreciated the management of ARL for keeping this tradition alive in an elegant and decent manner. He also distributed prizes to the award winners of the flower show.
Earlier, M Adil Khattak, President, Morgah Club and Chief Executive Officer, Attock Refinery Limited (ARL) thanked the chief guest for taking out time from his busy schedule to grace this occasion and said that the Morgah Club Flower Show started much earlier than 66 years, may be 80-85 years back. Today’s event is the 66th because it was not held during the 2nd World War and cancelled on other occasions due to inclement weather.

“Provision of potable water and health care to the surrounding communities, use of recycled water in our orchards through drip irrigation and a green plan including growth of organic vegetables and plantation of 12-15 thousand tree saplings every year are worth mentioning.
The 20 acre, Morgah Biodiversity Park, the first of its kind in Pakistan, which we have developed and nurtured over the last few years to conserve the biodiversity of the Potohar Region for the future generations”, he said.
In the end, he thanked all the participants especially the chief guest Shoaib A Malik, Group Regional Chief Executive, Attock Group of Companies and Chairman Attock Refinery Limited for making this event a success.
