GUJRAT
Thousands of followers and disciples of the Ameer International Organization Ahle Sunnat and Sajjada Nashin Khanqah Naikabad (Mararrian Sharif) Gujrat Pir Mohammad Afzal Qadri around the world have strongly reacted to the decision of the Punjab government to include the name of the scholar in the Fourth-Schedule.
They warned the Punjab government to withdraw its decision or face the consequences. This was unanimously announced by Ulema and Mashaikh of Ahle Sunnat in several meetings held in different cities on Saturday.
They expressed anger and shock that pious and peace-loving people were being punished instead of terrorists and corrupt elements.
They demanded the provincial government to immediately erase the name of Pir Afzal Qadri’s from the Fourth-Schedule otherwise they would be compelled to launch a countrywide protest.
Meanwhile, addressing Ulema and Mashaikh of Ahle Sunnat at Naikabad Mararrian Sharif, Ameer International Organization Ahle Sunnat Pir Mohammad Afzal Qadri regretted that the Punjab government included his and companions names in the Fourth-Schedule for raising voice in favour of Islam and Pakistan.
He said that he rejected all the unjustified steps of the government and would never hesitate to embrace martyrdom for the cause of religion and country. More than 20 Sunni organizations of Lahore demanded immediate withdrawal of Fourth-Schedule case against Pir Mohammad Afzal Qadri otherwise they would hold protests on various prominent places of the city.
