JC to clear doubts on polls: Ahsan

LAHORE - Federal Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal has said that normalcy is returning to Karachi after operation against the miscreants. He said the government is determined to restore complete peace in Karachi.
Talking media man and earlier speaking at prize distribution ceremony of Appa Nisar Fatima Girls High School on Saturday, Ahsan Iqbal said that government, army and the judiciary are on one page to end crime in Karachi as much has already been lost to this menace in the past and no further room exists to do it now. He said past has taught us much lesson on our mistakes and now its time not to repeat them and correct ourselves as the country can no longer afford follies from the politicians.  
To a question on the formation of Judicial Commission in acceptance of the PTI demand, the minister said that the government trusted the commission as its independent proceedings would clear the air on 2013 elections. He said the by-election held subsequent to the general election show the same trend of party victory. He said it was rather PTI which lost a seat in Peshawar in the by-election while the N League has the same trend of victory in by-election as it was in the general elections.
On privatisation, Ahsan advocated for the process to be transparent and without any favour to anyone. He reminded the privatization started by his government in 1990 was challenged in the court of law but the decision came in the favour of government.
To a question on the resignations of the PTI, the minister said they were not accepted to provide the PTI a chance to comeback to the assembly instead of taking to street protest as the parliament is best forum to resolve the issues.
On the performance of his government, Ahsan Iqbal said two years ago when the PML-N took over, economic stood bankrupt and it were efforts of the government that today it was on take-off position. He said the upcoming visit of the Chinese President will be another booster for national economy. On peace and economic front situation is eminently changed, he added.
Speaking to the school gathering, Federal Minister said education is such a weapon which not only ends ignorance but also contributes to abolishing poverty, unrest, terrorism, and lawlessness.
He said the government following the international trends, has provided immense opportunities to the women to share their efforts in the national building and progress of the country. He said life a constant learning process and hard work is its pivot while reward of it is in the hand of Allah, Almighty. He said in the next three years university campuses will be set up in every district throughout the country in order to enable everyone get education.
