LAHORE - A special anti-terrorism court on Saturday extended physical remand of Mustafa Kanju and his five accomplices for six more days for allegedly killing a teenager Zain and injuring another in Cantt area.

South Cantt Police produced Mustafa Kanju and five other accomplices to seek further remand of the accused to investigate the matter. The police also submitted a report saying that they had recovered a Kalashnikov from Kanju and sought further remand of five others of his accomplices to investigate murder of the orphan boy.

The judge accepted the plea and extended physical remand of Kanju and others for more six days. However, Kanju opposed the stance of police that he had killed Zain with the help of his guards submitting that he had no enmity with the deceased or his family. Earlier the judge handed them over to police on 8-day physical remand.
