Islamabad - In line with the guidelines of Supreme Court of Pakistan and to further improve the working in all field formations of National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Chairman NAB Qamar Zaman Chaudhry has called a special meeting of all director generals (DGs) and deputy prosecutor general accountability (DPGAs) of the Bureau on Monday (tomorrow).
According to a press release issued here Saturday, matters relating to setting up of a monitoring and evaluation (M&E) system and improving operational methodology in NAB will be discussed in the meeting.
Sources said chairman NAB will emphasize on all concerned that the directions of honorable Supreme Court should be implemented in letter and spirit.
Earlier, Chairman NAB Qamar Zaman called Vice Chancellor (VC) Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) Dr Sohail Naqvi for support to create an effective M&E system in NAB at the earliest to further improve the accountability system and good governance.
Dr Sohail Naqvi agreed to send LUMS team immediately to NAB headquarters Islamabad to conduct survey for setting up an effective M&E system as desired by the apex court.
According to sources, LUMS team has planned to visit NAB headquarters on Monday (tomorrow) to conduct survey.
