This is not the Pakistan Quaid-e-Azam dreamt of; Pakistan was created in the name of Islam, but soon after its establishment Quaid-e-Azam stated that the minorities are free to go to their worship places. If we take a look at our religion we will find that Islam respects other religions too. Religious minorities in Pakistan are always a target of some Muslim extremists groups who oppose their religion. One such targeted incident occurred recently in Lahore when two blasts rocked the churches in the city, killing approximately 15 and injuring many.
TTP openly claimed the responsibility, warned that there will be more such attacks on minorities. I deeply condemn attacks on religious institutions. There are uncountable churches, temples and mosques in Pakistan and I don’t think it is possible for the forces to protect them all. People should form vigilance teams for their own neighborhood and protect places of worship.
