MUZAFFARGARH

Muzaffargarh Police arrested Khalid Shehzad, the bureau chief of a TV channel, on the charges of sexually abusing a number of female jobs seekers and making their movies to exploit them, a police officer said.
He had organised a gang for girls trafficking while his two accomplices ASI Allah Bakhsh and Altaf were also arrested, said Muzaffargarh DPO Awais Ahmed Malik. He added that Khalid who claimed to be a bureau chief of a TV channel had established a so-called security-cum-recruitment agency in Muzaffargarh.
He made movies of young girls when they visited his office for job. One of them Musarrat Shaheen was kept in detention for eight months and she was subjected to rape by the recruiter as well as police officials.
Awais said all the accused involved in the scandal were arrested after registration of FIR No.169/16 under sections 365-B,376 -1, 420,380 PPC. The FIR was lodged by complainant Musarrat Shaeen, 22, of adjacent village of Khanpur Bagga Sher.

He said that Superintendent of Police (City) Ebadat Nasir was investigating the case while DSP Imran Mushtaq would assist him.
The DPO appealed to the victims to contact the police station for joining the investigation so that the gang could be taken to task. Musarrat Shaheen told media men that she was kept in illegal detention for eight months and she managed to run away from their clutches on March 20. Then she approached the police station for registration of a complaint but the staff on duty did not entertain her, she said.
Consequently, she added, she went to Islamabad and submitted a petition to Chief Justice of Pakistan. She said that Khalid Shehzad was also involved in printing the counterfeit currency and a number of cases were instituted with different police stations of Southern Punjab.
