MINGORA: Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) was shot dead and a police constable sustained injuries, when some unidentified armed men attacked DSP vehicle in Shahdara area of Swat today.
According to police sources, some unknown armed men opened firing at DSP Muhammad Ilyas, killing him on the spot and injuring a police constable.
The attackers escaped after killing the police official. The security forces rushed to the area and started search operation in the area. The dead and injured were shifted to nearby hospital.
