KARACHI - Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) Sindh former President Afshan Imran along with other party members on Monday announced the join Muttahida Quami Movement.

She made this announcement during a Press conference at MQM headquarter Nine-Zero along with MQM leader and nominee for Karachi Mayor slot Waseem Akhtar.

Former PML-Q Afshan and other leaders including Ghulam Hussain Atta, Gul Rani were given warm welcome at Nine-Zero as MQM Women Wing showered petals on the newly joined members.

MQM Coordination Committee’s member Zareen Majeed, Shabir Kaim Khani and Waseem Akhtar were also present on the occasion.

Addressing the media men, Afshan said that “Altaf Hussain leadership and good policies are convincing the people to join MQM”.

I was thinking to join MQM and made the decision when people involved in China Cutting and Land grabbers left MQM. “ We reject the false and biased allegations on MQM chief Altaf Hussain and we will do every effort and shed our blood to bring success for the MQM. We have joined MQM as all the rotten eggs has left the party and dirt is been removed, said Afshan.

She further said there should be fair politics and should not criticise the others on behalf of false allegations in the country.

Speaking on the occasion MQM leader Wasim Akhtar said that MQM is going through a tough time but all the conspiracies will fail like they did in the past.

He said joining of many political figures with different cast and creeds in MQM are enough to prove that allegation on MQM chief were baseless and false.

He said that nation is aware with the issues of party that is currently it is being going through but its worthy that despite of the all conspiracy party had won the By-polls on NA-245 and PS-115.

Altaf Hussain is leading those peoples whom are like a sea and it doesn’t affect sea if some dirty water is poured out, added Waseem.

Meanwhile, Pasban delegation led by senior President Tariq Jameel visited MQM headquarters Nine-Zero and congratulated MQM leadership on the victory on by-polls on NA-245. The delegation was welcomed by MQM leader including Shabeer Qaimkhani and Muhammad Kamal. During the meeting various issues including the devolution of Local Government powers to elected representatives came under discussion. Both parties leaders also agreed over supporting each other on various matters.

Moreover, MQM Coordination Committee has suspended membership of three party workers over the violation of party discipline.

The members include former officials of All Pakistan Muttahida Student Organisation (APMSO) Waheeduz Zama, Tauseef Ijaz and Adil Khan. Committee has directed the workers not to have any contact with any of the suspended people. Suspended office-bearers have announced to join Kamal`s PSP in a Press conference at Kamal`s residence.
