Islamabad - President Mamnoon Hussain has expressed the hope that the newly elected Mayor of Islamabad Sheikh Anser Aziz will utilise his capabilities in serving the residents of Islamabad and providing them all essential services to further improve their standard of life.  
The President said this while talking to Islamabad City’s first elected Mayor Sheikh Anser Aziz who called on him at the Aiwan-e-Sadr, Islamabad on Monday.
President Mamnoon Hussain said that for the first time in Islamabad’s history governance has been transferred at the grassroots level and said that measures must be taken to further enhance the beauty of Islamabad.
The President directed the Mayor to devise a practicable mechanism to solve the issue of illegal settlements and slum areas in Islamabad.
He expressed his confidence in the Mayor of Islamabad and hoped that the newly elected Mayor will evolve an effective setup to serve the people in the best manner.
