Nawaz asks Wajid Zia to unmask identities of JIT's staff

Ex Premier Nawaz Sharif said today that Wajid Zia, who headed the Panama case investigation, will have to reveal identities of the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) staff.

Nawaz said this while speaking to media persons outside the accountability court. He once again criticised the Joint Investigation Team (JIT), whose report led him to his disqualification by the Supreme Court.

He further added that the Supreme Court’s decision was based on the Iqama [foreign work permit] which has been proved to be a lie.

He had made similar remarks yesterday outside the courtroom after the cross examination of Wajid Zia.

Moreover, Nawaz asked to reveal the identities of those who provided assistance to JIT during investigations.

"It has been revealed now that 40 people were involved in drafting the JIT report," said Nawaz.

He also questioned that who had approved the recruitment of the JIT support staff and said facts are pouring out of the false case after the false decision.
