ISLAMABAD - The representatives of All Pakistan Secretariats Employees Coordination Council Tuesday met with the Chairman Pay and Pension Commission and submitted their demands to the Commission. The charter of demands that the representatives of the Employees Coordination Council presented to the Chairman Pay and Pension Commission include merger of all ad-hoc allowances in the basic pay, additional increase of 10 per cent in salaries of all civil servants and enhancement of existing medical allowance up to Rs 5,000 per month. Besides others, President Choudhry Mukhtar Ahmad, Secretary General Abbas Khan and Deputy Secretary Javed Khalil were among the delegation that met with the chairman. It may be mention here that the meeting of Pay and Pension Commission would hold meeting today (Wednesday) to review the pay and pension of the government officials. The council in this regard forwards their proposals. The Council demanded of grant of uniform conveyance allowance at Rs 5,000 per month, grant of house rent allowance equal to scale wise housing subsidy, restoration of advanced increments on higher qualifications and restoration of selection grade and move-over. The Council also demanded grant of 20 per cent interest on GP fund with 30 per cent bonus, grant of 50 per cent commutation instead of 35 per cent, 100 per cent increase in value of rupee in case of commutation, grant of full family pension to the widow of the deceased retired government servants and grant of extra year benefit at the time of retirement. Grant of full pay and allowances to the legal heirs of deceased civil servants till attaining the age of superannuation, increase in TA/DA rates, up-gradation, restoration of secretariat allowance and restoration of Eid allowance are some the demands of All Pakistan Secretariats Employees Coordination Council.
