ISLAMABAD - Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has said that government has taken note of the rising inflation and is taking measures to ensure that essential kitchen items remain available to the people at affordable rates during Ramazan. The Prime Minister stated this while talking to Federal Minister for Education, Mir Hazar Khan Bijrani, MNAs Asma Arbab Alamgir, Syed Zafar Ali Shah and Mudassir Qayyum, and Balochistan Minister for Revenue, Engr Zamurrad Khan, who called on him at his Parliament House Chamber on Tuesday. He said the democratic government was endeavouring to confront all the challenges including power shortage and inflation with the help of the people. He was briefed about matters relating to the Education Ministry as well as the working of finance department, Balochistan. The MNAs informed the Prime Minister about the status of the ongoing development projects in their constituencies.
