ISLAMABAD (APP) - There are only two posts of judges lying vacant in the Supreme Court of Pakistan in accordance to the strength determined by the 14-member bench of the Apex Court last month as Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry and 14 judges working presently against the total strength of 1+16. According to the list finalised by the Supreme Court in accordance of the judgement passed by the 14-member bench on July 31 this year. List of 14 judges is following: Justice Javed Iqbal, Justice Sardar Muhammad Raza Khan, Justice Khalil-ur-Rehman Ramday, Justice Mian Shakirullah Jan, Justice Tassaduq Hussain Jillani, Justice Nasir-ul-Mulk, Justice Raja Fayyaz Ahmed, Justice Ch Ijaz Ahmed, Justice Ghulam Rabbani, Justice Sayed Zahid Hussain, Justice Muhammad Sair Ali, Justice Mahmood Akhtar Shahid Siddiqui, Justice Jawwad S Khawaja and Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali. It may be mentioned here that Justice Ghulam Rabbani will retire on October 20 this year after attaining the age of 65 years. Justice Ghulam Rabbani belonging to Sindh province was elevated as Judge of the High Court of Sindh on May 26, 1998 and then elevated as ad-hoc Judge Supreme Court of Pakistan on September 14, 2006. He was appointed as Judge of the Supreme Court of Pakistan on April 4, 2009.
