OUR STAFF REPORTER ISLAMABAD - The two-day trials to select Islamabad Under-19 Football team for the National Under-19 Championship, to be held in Lahore from September 10 to 19, begins here on Thursday at G/9-2 Mehran Football Club ground under the supervision of Chairman selection committee Syed Maqbool Naqvi. As many as 60 youngsters reported to the camp commandant on the opening day. Talking to this correspondent M Zaman, Secretary Islamabad Football Association said, these trails are meant to select a strong team from the capital and we are very encouraged with the response of the kids as Ramazan is in progress and many of these youngsters trained with fasting and we are very satisfied with the progress of the trails. He further said 25 boys will be short listed from these 60 kids and a final of 20 kids will be retained for the upcoming National Under-19 Championship, but we will keep five boys in the camp for further training, he concluded.
