CDA to develop Galenger Valley at Margalla Hills





ISLAMABAD – Capital Development Authority (CDA) has decided to construct a new entertainment, recreational spot at the heart of Margalla Hills near Faisal Mosque.
The new entertainment spot named “Galenger Valley” would consist of food street where people could enjoy food specialties of all four provinces, a separate food court consisting of foreign food items, children play ground, and a walking track. CDA has already acquired services of a consultant company, which met authority Chairman CDA and briefed him about the initial design of the project.
Meanwhile in order to make Islamabad lush green, Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman Farkhand Iqbal has said that CDA would plant 500,000 saplings during plantation drive so as to provide healthy environment to the residents of the federal capital.
He was speaking to media after planting a sapling in Media Town in connection with the ongoing monsoon tree plantation campaign. CDA chairman said that, CDA would provide technical support in the development of media town. He said that CDA is planting 500,000 different saplings, which will be planted in different areas of Islamabad.
He said that in this plantation drive CDA would plant local plants like Chiir, pine, Kachnaar, Amaltas etc. The civic body plans to plant 500,000 saplings during the monsoon plantation.
