Qadri flayed for accusing Nawa-i-Waqt of biasness

LAHORE  - Leaders of different religious parties strongly condemned PAT chief Dr Tahirul Qadri for levelling baseless allegations against Daily Nawa-i-Waqt of biasness and distorting facts.
Dr Qadri, who is habitual of retreating from his stances, said that Nawa-i-Waqt and some others newspapers distorted his statements as he had asked the supporters to kill those who would retreat from the revolution. According to Dr Qadri, Nawa-i-Waqt wrote this under some pressure of the PML-N.
Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam spokesman Jan Achakzai said that Dr Qadri alleged Nawa-i-Waqt but praised TheNation at the same time. He said one should think that how the policy of two papers of a same group could be different. He said the media owners and bigwigs should think that it was a good practice to give more coverage to a person who was not even parliamentarian or public representative.
Jamiat Ulema Pakistan Punjab president Qari Zawar Bahadur said that Dr Qadri was instigating the people for violence. He said he was here for bloodshed. He said one should think thousand times before levelling allegations against a paper like Nawa-i-Waqt.
Pakistan Ulema Council chairman Maulana Tahir Ashrafi said Dr Qadri wanted every institution of the country including media to act according to his will. He said he misquoted the Quranic Verses and Hadiths in his Sunday’s address and incited the people. He said after Dr Qadri’s speech on Sunday, it was very dangerous to target newspapers of media person. He said if any journalist or media organisation would be harmed, who would be the responsible. He said Qadri should not blackmail the newspapers. He said the Pakistan Ulema Council condemned Qadri for his attitude towards the newspapers. He said his conspiracy to make Pakistan Syria, Egypt and Iraq would fail.
