Three injured in hand grenade blasts in Mardan

MARDAN  - Three people, including a woman and a seven-year-old boy, got critical injuries in two separate incidents of hand grenade blasts in Mardan district during the last 48 hours.
According to the Saddar Police Station, unidentified people hurled a hand grenade into the house of one Nadar Khan, resident of Akbarabad late night. As a result, wife of Nadar Khan Robina and his 16-year-old son Aaqif got serious injuries in the explosion. The injured were rushed to the Mardan Medical Complex (MMC) for medical treatment.
According to another case registered on the report of Ilahia wife of Mohammad Zamin, resident of Manduri at the Takhatbhi Police Station.
She told police that her husband had found a hand grenade in the field one-year back and kept it in a pomegranate tree inside the house.  She said that she was washing dishes near the tree and her seven-year-old son Abdul Hassan was picking pomegranate from the tree when the grenade exploded.
 As a result, she said that her son seriously injured. The injured was shifted to the District Headquarter Hospital (DHQ) for medical treatment. Police registered separate cases and started investigation.
