Huma FC thrash PTV in Jashn-e-Azadi match 2-0

ISLAMABAD - Huma Football Club inflicted humiliating 2-0 defeat on PTV in the PTV Jashn-e-Azadi football match played at Jinnah Stadium Wednesday.
Senior Minister Gilgit Baltistan Haji Akbar Taban inaugurated the match, while PTV Director Finance Waseem Pervaiz was the chief guest at the concluding ceremony and gave away certificates to players of both the teams and trophy to winning team captain Nasir Jamil. PTV Sports Cell president Col (R) Hassan Immad, sports officer M Arif Qureshi, ex-information secretary PFF Rana Tanveer Ahmed, IFA officials Syed Sharafat Bukhari, M Zaman, Zakir Naqvi and others were also present on the occasion.
PTV controlled the ball in the majority of first 30 minutes of the match, after surviving anxious moments, Huma FC settled down well and managed to break the deadlock in the 33rd minute when they were awarded plenty kick and Umer Khan put the ball into the PTV’s net. Huma FC finished the first half 1-0.
Huma FC started second half on a positive note and managed to double their lead in the 52nd minute through Imran. They were again awarded a plenty kick. PTV got a golden chance to reduce the deficit in the 73rd minute, when they were awarded a plenty kick, but Zarar’s shot was saved by Huma FC’s goalie Sohail. PTV got another opportunity in the dying moments of the match to score a goal, when defender Sohail missed a simple chance as he failed to put the ball into Huma FC’s goal, even goalie was beaten.
