ISLAMABAD - Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Qamar Zaman Chaudhary had left the country on one week vacations last Saturday, said a NAB spokesman on Tuesday. However, he said, the NAB chief would also participate in an international conference in Vienna.
NAB Spokesman Asim Ali Nawazish said the chairman NAB had left the country for one week on last Saturday and notified Deputy Chairman NAB Saeed Ahmad Sargana as acting chairman. “The chairman NAB will come back to country next Monday,” he added.
On the other hand, the Supreme Court had asked the NAB to submit details of its correspondence with the General Headquarter [GHQ] Rawalpindi on the National Logistic Cell (NLC) scam.
Sources in NAB said that in the absence of chairman, NAB was not in a position to share details with the apex court about its correspondence with GHQ on the NLC scam.
