LAHORE - The Punjab Olympic Association (PbOA) has chalked out a comprehensive activity to organise a number of sports events across the province in the ongoing month to mark the Independence-Day celebrations.
“We have engaged all the major cities where sports events in various disciplines will be organised in a befitting manner,” said the PbOA spokesman here Tuesday.
“The athletics event will be held at Punjab Stadium, basketball at Govt College University, boxing at Islamia College Civil lines, bodybuilding at Al Hamra Complex, badminton at New Khan Hall, baseball at Gujranwala, cycle race, canoeing at Canal, gymnastics at Johar Town, handball in Faisalabad, judo at Iqbal Park, junior sports at Model Town, karate at Bagbanpura, kick-boxing at Township, Muay Thai in Multan, rugby at DHA, squash at squash Complex, tennis at Bagh-e-Jinnah, weightlifting at Punjab University old campus, wrestling at Shahdara, wushu at township and swimming, table tennis, taekwondo, rowing, throw ball, tug-of-war, ju-jitsu, kabaddi and volleyball in Lahore,” he added.
