Special persons to get Khidmat cards on 14th

SIALKOT

The Punjab Social Protection Authority would issue Khidmat cards and mobile phone SIMs to 783 selected handicapped persons in Sialkot district on August 14.
Sialkot District Coordination Officer Dr Asif Tufail said that 385 handicapped persons under the age of 18 years and 398 such persons above the age of 18 years would get the Khidmat cards with mobile phone SIMs.
They will be able to get Rs1,200 per month after the every three months through a short message service (SMS) on their mobile phones. The DCO said that the district administration had established Khidmat Cards issuing centres at Govt Sardar Begum Memorial Teaching Hospital Sialkot, THQ hospitals in Daska and Sambrial and at Govt College for Elementary Education Pasrur for the facilitation of the local handicapped people in this regard.
EDO (Finance) Shuja Qutab has been appointed as a focal person. Earlier, the DCO reviewed the arrangements during a meeting. EDO (Health) Sialkot Dr Javaid Warraich, assistant commissioners Dr Rani Hafsa Kanwal and Tauqeer Ilyas Cheema and other officials also attended the meeting.
