Rawalpindi - A famous bakery was sealed for supplying unhygienic products while many other food outlets were fined over poor cleanliness conditions here on Tuesday.
According to details, assistant commissioner (city) along with food and sanitary inspectors and policemen sealed tehzeeb bakers at Commercial Market for supplying unhygienic products as well as over unsatisfactory cleanliness conditions. The owner of Tehzee bakers was also imposed a fine of Rs 20,000. Similarly, the team visited Sweet Palace and KFC in the same locality and found the cleanliness conditions unsatisfactory there.
The assistant commissioner imposed a fine of Rs 15,000 each on the owners of the sweet shop and fast food outlet. In Chandni Chowk area, Bamboo Fast Food and Saae Jee Murgh Pulao were also sealed over unsatisfactory cleanliness conditions.
Later, the team conducted raids at Savor Foods Shehanshah Tikka House in Food Street area along Double Road. The food outlets were imposed heavy fines.
Talking to media persons on the occasion, AC (City) Qurat-ul-Ain said that no compromise would be made on provision of healthy and hygienic food.
