Rawalpindi/ islamabad - At least two persons were killed and three others sustained bullet injuries in separate incidents in Rawalpindi on Tuesday, while police found a dead body from Banni area, sources told The Nation.

According to details, a man shot his cousin dead over property dispute at Mohalla Akal Garh, Chungi Number 4, within the limits of Police Station Gangjmandi. The killer also injured another person and fled the crime scene, sources said.

The deceased was identified as Sufyan Gull son of Sher Ahmed, while the injured was identified as Nadeem son of Nazir Ahmed. Rescue 1122 shifted teh injured and the dead to hospital.

Station House Officer Mumtaz told The Nation that there was a property dispute between two cousins, which led to the murder.

In the second incident, a brawl occurred between two groups (Javed

Group and Waqas Shah Group) over some unknown reason in Dhoke Elahi Bux. On the day of incident, Javed and Saeed were sitting in a property office when Waqas Shah along with his accomplice Amin came on motorcycle and opened fire at the office and injured both the men. Sources said that the injured men also retaliated and as a result Amin was killed while Waqas got injured. Upon calling, police rushed to the crime scene and started investigation.

Separately, Banni police found the dead body of an unknown man from Jamia Masjid Road and shifted it to hospital for post mortem. The identity of the dead man was yet to be ascertained, a police officer said.

Meanwhile, Islamabad police registered a case against two unknown persons on the charges of assaulting a minor sexually in Kurri Road area.

According to details, Muhammad Akram approached Khanna police station to state that some unknown persons had sexually abused his son, Mateen. Police have booked the accused under section 377 of the Pakistan penal code (PPC) and further investigation is under way.

Meanwhile, Islamabad police have arrested 29 outlaws from various areas of the city, besides recovering stolen car, bike, mobiles, cash, weapons and narcotics from their possession, informed Naeem Iqbal, a police spokesman.

On a tip-off, a special police team under the supervision of SP Rural Yasir Afridi raided a gambling den at Rawal Town and arrested five gamblers red-handed. They were later identified as Raja Aftab, Waheed, Adeel, Irfan and Abid Mehmood while police recovered stake money Rs 61,950, seven mobile phones and gambling tools from their possession.

Kohsar police arrested a bike-lifter Umair red-handed and recovered stolen bike from him. Aabpara police arrested a drug pusher Shamshad and recovered 510 grams heroin from him. Bhara Kahu police arrested Imran and recovered 20 grams hashish from him while another accused Usman was nabbed for having one 30-bore pistol. Shalimar police arrested Kashif and recovered one wine bottle from him while another person Zeeshan was nabbed for his alleged involvement in a theft case.

Furthermore, Golra and Khanna police arrested Iqrar, Sohaib, Maqbool, Ehtisham Khair and Sheik Azhar allegedly involved in illegal sale of petroleum products and decanting gas in cylinders.

Karachi Company police held three accused Abdul Waheed, Kamal and Pervez and recovered two stolen mobile phones and two pistols along with ammunition from their possession. Sabzi Mandi police arrested two accused Bilal and Mansoor for having weapons while a stolen car was recovered through timely cordoning off sector I-10/4. Koral police arrested a drug pusher Liaqat and recovered 1.325 kilograms hashish from him while another accused Ahmed Bux was held for having a 30-bore pistol. Cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further investigation is under way, the spokesman concluded.
