The celebrations of annual Urs of Baba Sakhi Syedan Shah will commence from Wednesday (today, which will continue till Thursday.
The devotees will celebrate the Urs with great pomp and show. The shrine of Baba Jee has been illuminated for the celebrations. This was disclosed by the TMO while chairing a meeting held to review arrangements for the Urs celebrations.
A large numbers of devotees will attend the ceremonies of the Urs. On July 12 after Fajr prayers, the Urs will inaugurate with “Chadar Poshi” on the shrine of the sufi saint. At night Mehfil-i-Samaa and Qawali will also held. On the second day of the Urs, a seminar will organize regarding the personality and teachings of Baba Syedan Shah. The speakers will highlight the life and teachings of Baba jee.
Meanwhile, Jamaat Ahle Sunnat also held a special meeting, presided over by Allama Muhammad Ismail Sialvi, to discuss the security arrangements. The Auqaf Department has made some special arrangements to provide food to poor people at very cheap rates or free of cost.
