LAHORE  - The new generation must concentrate on education, peace and prosperity of Pakistan, said Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust (NPT) Vice Chairman Prof Dr Rafique Ahmad.

“We must be grateful to Allah for conferring upon us the blessing of freedom,” Rafique said while addressing a special ceremony - “Love Pakistan” - for the students of Ideological Summer School on Tuesday. He advised the students study the ideology of independence and the hurdles existed during Pakistan’s movement.

Independence Day celebrations are being held at the Aiwan-i-Karkunan-i-Tehreek-i-Pakistan under the aegis of the Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust in collaboration with the Pakistan Movement Workers Trust. Ramsha Iman, who won the first position in the Matriculation (Arts group), Lahore Board, also attended the ceremony, where she paid tribute to her parents and teachers.

The students, on the occasion, recited Quranic verses, Quaid-i-Azam’s messages and Allama Muhammad Iqbal’s poetry. There was also a question and answer session and prizes were distributed among the students in the end of the ceremony.
