LAHORE - The Lahore High Court yesterday issued show cause notices to School of National Public Policy Director Admin Rai Ijaz Zaigham and Establishment Secretary for August 16 in a petition filed by store in-charge of the school who allegedly remained absent from the duty for about four years.

Justice Muhammad Ameer Bhatti of the LHC heard the case and sought reply from the respondent department.  Haroon Khan, in charge store of the school, filed the petition and submitted that the school administration had not been paying him salary for last four months.

The legal advisor of the department said that he was absent from the school for last four years. He said his attendance was hardly three to four days in a month. At this, the judge expressed serious concerns over the absence of the store in-charge of the school and asked the legal advisor that if he was absent for last four years then why action was not taken against him.

Apparently it seemed as if the administration of the school was sleeping for last four years, the judge observed. The judge summoned the director admin and establishment secretary to explain as to why the action was not taken against him if he was absent from the duty for last four years.
