Government to ensure civic facilities to capital: Asad Umar

ISLAMABAD - Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives, Asad Umar, has said that the government is working on a single regulatory and governance system for the whole capital to ensure provision of all basic civic facilities to its residents.
Talking to media here Wednesday along with Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on CDA Affairs, Ali Nawaz Awan, after inauguration of the monsoon plantation campaign, he said that a single regulatory system is very necessary to address the problems of citizens and to ensure quality civic facilities to them. He said the Prime Minister will soon formally approve the large-scale development projects for Islamabad. He said four new hospitals will be constructed in Islamabad to strengthen the health care system while a water line system of 100 million gallons daily is being constructed to address the water shortage. He said legislation against illegal housing societies is also being made to address the grievances of affected citizens. He appealed to the general public to fully participate in the drive for green Pakistan.
