What's in a cap?

Look at us now. We have stooped so low that the Sindhi cap and Ajrak are being used as tools for rallying the public in support of government. Rather apt for we had started with the silly slogan of 'Pakistan Khappay' which I do not know means what? Jinnah cap is a national symbol and has always been so and will remain so. I urge the government, and various political leaders hiding in one garb or the other, to wake up to the more imminent realities of our existence. The Indians and Americans are making a case around the world against our nuclear arsenal and our people are busy dancing in streets for the joy of having this cap. -AMJAD HABIB MIRZA, Lahore, December 7.
