Recently, the Sindhi press has cited a huge number of professionally qualified people, particularly, engineers and doctors, whose number is swelling and who are unemployed in the province. Reports are pouring in from the province regarding suicides among engineers and doctors. The past successive unelected regimes used all foul ways to deprive the people of Sindh. As a result, misery and unemployment has risen to a horrific level in the province. My hearts bleeds when I come across many of my batch fellows who even after the passage of sixteen years are still jobless and keep on wandering from pillar to post in search of a job here in the Federal Capital, Islamabad. Engineers, it seems have a bleak future for higher unemployment and lower remuneration in Pakistan. Against this backdrop, I appeal to the President and Prime Minister to direct the top management of multinational companies to something concrete about creating job opportunities.
