LAHORE - Lahore women team outplayed Sialkot team by 108 runs while Karachi women defeated Multan team by 19 runs in the National Women Under-19 semi-finals played here at Lahore Country Club, Muridke on Saturday. In the first semi-final, Lahore team outclassed Sialkot by 108 runs. Lahore women, batting first posted a huge total of 168 for one wicket in 20 overs. Bisma Maroof was unbeaten with 92 runs with the help of 13 fours while Sidra Amin made impressive 45 and Faryal Amin unbeaten 13. In reply, Sialkot team could manage to score only 60 runs for the loss of eighth wickets in 20 overs. Nadia Naseem made 19 runs while Rabia Muzaffar 18. For Lahore team, Hina Azam and Bakhtawar shared two wickets each for five and 14 runs respectively. Bisma Maroof again was the best player of the match with her brilliant unbeaten 92 runs. In the second semi-final, Karachi women defeated Multan team by 19 runs. Batting first, Karachi women posted 119 runs for the loss of five wickets in 20 overs. Rabia Shah scored 47 runs while Kainat Imtiaz unbeaten 33 and Ayesha Zafar 22. Sana Gulzar grabbed for wickets for 16 for Multan team. Multan women, in reply, tried their best to achieve the target but were all out on 100 runs in 18 overs. Areeb Shmaim made 24 runs while Gulnaz Majeed 13. For Karachi team, Ramin Shamim and Kainat Imtiaz clinched three wickets each for 10 and 16 runs respectively. Kainat Imtiaz was declared player of the match. The final of the National Women Under-19 will be played between Lahore Women U-19 and Karachi Women U-19 tomorrow (Monday) at Lahore Country Club, Muridke.
