KARACHI (APP) - Cotton price has dipped by Rs 600 to Rs 9,100 per maund this week, mainly due to cautious buying by local mills and exporters ahead of Ashura holidays, brokers said Saturday. Chairman, Cotton Broker Forum Naseem Usman said that the market has witnessed a slow down during the week as players are expecting a sluggish trading next week due to long holidays. He said spot rates of Karachi Cotton Association (KCA) closed at 9,100 per maund on weekend. Cotton prices ranged between Rs 9,000 to Rs 9,500 per maund in Sindh and Punjab, he added. Good quality phutti price also went down to Rs 4,200 per 40 kg while binola price also closed higher at Rs 1,050 to Rs 1,125 per maund in Sindh.
