LAHORE - The farmers would be the next target of the Punjab government after the students and teachers, claimed Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, senior leader of PML-Q. He was addressing a meeting of the PML-Q office-bearers from Nankana Sahib at Muslim League House on Friday. Criticising the policy of privatising the colleges, he held Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif responsible for adding to the woes of the students and accused the CM and his team for the current hardships of the people of Punjab. He alleged that CM Punjab was using the government machinery to silence the voice of the oppressed. He maintained that over 300 billion rupees overdraft had fully exposed the incompetence of the Punjab administration. Pervaiz claimed that all the sections of the society including farmers, workers, businessmen, traders, industrialists and government employees were extremely unhappy over the policies of Shahbaz Sharif. He blamed the provincial government for the rising poverty, unemployment, lawlessness and increasing suicides in the province. Meanwhile, PML-Q MNA Pir Muhammad Aslam Bodla, met with Pervaiz and reposed full confidence in the leadership of PML-Q chief Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and Chaudhry Pervaiz. Pir Aslam ruled out reports regarding leaving the ranks of PML-Q and said that he would remain loyal with the party and Chaudharies. It is to be mentioned here that Pir Aslam along with other leaders of PML-Q met with PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif the other day at Raiwind and praised the sagacious leadership of PML-N chief. , which raised many suspicions among the top leadership of PML-Q.
