LAHORE PPP Secretary General Jahangir Badr has said former president Pervaiz Musharaf is responsible of Mohtarma Banazir Bhutoos assassination. He, however, pledged that some accused had been arrested and other will be apprehended soon in Bibis murder case. Talking to media men during an opening ceremony of photography exhibition having pictorial history of PPP struggle at Alhamra Art Gallery on Saturday, he said PPP did not believe in revenge, however, assassins of Mohtarma would be proceeded against at any cost and the law itself will make the way. He said according to UNO report regarding the case, the then government led by PML-Q showed criminal negligence making poor security arrangements for Benazir Bhuttos visit. Clarifying his position on a statement on privatization of educational institutions, he said he had no contradiction with Prime Minister Gilani, however, he cleared the party policy on the issue while the PM favored privatization as an administrator. Terming about the achievements of PPP-led government in 2010, PPP Information Secretary Fozia Wahab said 18th amendment of the constitution and NFC award were their big successes. She said their party honored the judiciary and its judgments. The five-day exhibition titled 'Lap of Mother to the Grave is the collection of Benazir Bhutoos personal photographer Agha Firoz Akhatar in which more than 2,000 rare pictures of Bhutoo family have been put on display. The PPP leaders admired the Karachi-based photographer Agha Firoz and his team including Danish, Shamim and Tariq Memood for their hard work and love for PPPs founder family. They said the photographer had briefed the complete history of struggle and sacrifices of Bhutoo family. They further said such exhibition should be displayed at every city of the county and PPP workers and students should visit to enhance their knowledge about politics. The photographer told he had more than 15,000 negatives and 4,000 pictures but due to insufficient place displayed only 2,000. He desired that top leadership of PPP including Federal Law Minister Babar Awan and Interior Minister Rehman Malik should visit the exhibition so they could be able to explore more efficiently the sacrifices of the party. He said he had already displayed the same exhibition six times at Karachi and Islamabad. He further said had he come with pictures in the City on his personal expenses and the PPP leadership should cooperate with him for exhibiting the pictures in other cities as well.
